Right i would just like to give ya some back ground info before i get to the main point.
Right the place i work at is called Graylings(it's a fish and chip shop) and its a family run business. And for the past year they have had a wanted sign in the window (people go there but after 2/3 shifts people quit as the boss's are horrible)
The boss that's relevant for now is called Joan.

Right i am quoting what happened from facebook from Joan's grandchild

Basically, I sorted out a shift swap with phil, but forgot to mention it to "Joan" - so i was casually cleaning the kitchen and to my shock she came up behind me and started saying how i was taking liberties and that i was a lier becuase she knew nothing about this shift swap, even though phil said he'd asked her and she said it was fine. Then she went off on a rampage telling me i was a piece of :censored: and a disappointment to the whole family and that she cant wait for me to go to uni and ruin my life even more so. So i stormed out the back door and she chased me up the street trying to talk to me about it but i turned around and was like "what sort of a grandmother are you to call your grandaughter and piece of :censored::censored:!" to which she screamed "your just like your mother, a devious little :censored:!!" and that was that. HAHAHAHA!! xxx

Unfortunately this does not surprise me at all. Which to be honest is very worrying.
I don't have a clue how i have survived over 1 year with them. And i still have to work there as well. Shame i haven't quit as well.

EDIT: This is not me. This is from some body else that work at the same place.

lol made me chuckle.

seriously though over a year I've seen people come and go. my own sister worked there for just under a month quit because of Joan. My sister literally burst in to tears because of her.

Others have been under paid, over worked and generally treated as if we are simple.

Fun fun fun

hmm i missed the question?

all i can say is there is a time where people realise that parents or be it grandparents or should it be 'your boss?' are people too, they have silly morals and values and things we each hate about them. they think theyre right and because you are family and 'below' them they think they have the right to treat you like slaves. the reality is there are many circumstances parents adopt the role of a child and the child adopts the role as the adult..

i guess you just have to stick with it till you have the opportunity for independance. idk what its like with you but i guess that there is always the fear of being 'kicked out' or 'family resentment'

one day you will be a man and you will be wise and you will be mature and you will find the correct way to get the message across in such a fashion that all those involved will act in such a way that will simply prove you right..

till that day

large chips + SV and a jumbo battered soresage :D

gah i misunderstood D:

this is a place you work for but isnt your family.. whatever.. :P oh dear:P

Keep a diary record of every derogatory thing she says to people, then go to your doctors and say you're too stressed out and can't work.

The Doc'll give you anywhere upto 8 weeks off work with stress.

When your boss challenges it (as they have to pay you) you can pull out your diary.

Free holiday woop woop.

Obviously only do this if you are actually stressed, which you seem to be a little.

Oh did you get the 24 pin?

I doubt that method works for casual cash in hand work...
