View Full Version : new build what 1156 motherboard

I am upgrading from 775 to core i5, and am not sure what motherboard to get, dont want to spend crazy amounts on the motherboard around £100.00, but want it to support sli(I know they only support 8/8x) and be stable any of the big 3 asus/gig/msi.

Doubt you will find any under that price that will support SLi and maybe just Crossfire.

Second hand Market, things like the p7p55 deluxe or the sabertooth can be had for that money.

i know but EVGA is just as good, also alot cheaper too, i dont think you will get a brand new sli mobo for that price anywhere else :)

Thats no good it hasnt got any pci slots, for tv tuner card, also not sur eof quality of motherboard, have decided to go with asus p7p55d-e, paying a little more but getting a quality board.

EVGA is one of the best manufacturers of components but i hope your happy with what motherboard you have chosen mate :)

Just got the mobo a couple weeks ago with my i5 its a really good board its nice and small and will fit in many cases! great mobo
