Hi this is my final version of my first build. Need to know any issues, any improvements, any replacements for various parts, or any other hints and tips, on what to buy.
Basically, i want the best for my money! Cheers!
My limit is £650, but i'd rather not go above £600. It will be a gaming PC.

The Samsung F3's have issues with the AMD southbridges [motherboard wont detect the hard drive unless the hard drive has a newer firmware] so unless someone can tell you different i would swap the hard drive. Also, personally i wouldn't buy the Radeon 4890 - go with the Nvidia GTX 460 instead.
I think the firmware is fairly easy to flash Terb, just create a bootable DOS disk and you're away.
Otherwise I think that's a well rounded system with bang for buck, so well done. Though a 460 would definitely be nice, it bumps up the price a little too much. If you can afford it though, as Terb suggests it'd be well worth it.
Nice work :thumb:

I spot a potential niggle - As far as I'm aware (And bear in mind I'm often wrong) the Antec 300 has no external 3.5 bay, nor comes with a 5.25>3.5 converter like my 900 did.
So you'll need to pick one up for the card reader.
Other than that it looks pretty fine.
Your build looks good, if you can swap the card for a GTX 460 that would make the build better :) but the 4890 is still good for the price.

Thanks all!
with the 460's, is it worth forking out the extra £35 pounds for the 1GB rather than the 768mb?
Thanks

from the reviews I have read, yes it is...

I have the 768Mb and would say not really.
I have MSI afterburner running on another screen and my max VRAM useage so far has been 720Mb.
Thats running BFBC2 on high settings @ 1920 x 1080.
The vram usage would increase further if you had the 1GB version I recon
I think at the most you'd get 5-10 FPS increase using the 1GB version vs the 768mb version.

Don't forget it's not just a memory difference between the 768Mb and 1Gb version.
The 1Gb version has 8 more ROPs (1/3 more) than the 768Gb version and a wider memory bus

This^
It isn't just an extra 256MB of RRAM, but other stuff as well.
