no... AAT (book keeping - en route to accountancy)
means she can happily walk out of the sweat shop now (some crappy building industry related company where everything is family oriented i.e. if you aint family, you aint @#$%.)
Is anyone else getting that "End of holiday" feeling? where you know you have to go to college and waste your valuable time?
Mr. Grapes
17-08-10, 00:37
just wait til you go into the wide world of work... 4 weeks paid holiday a year if your lucky (though I usually get 24 days + bank holidays, but Mrs. grapes's sweatshop gives 18 days including bank holidays - so that's 13, and the office shuts down for 2 weeks over christmas, which is mandatory holiday out of your allowance, so in reality that 6 days per year that you can take as and when you like.... that's the legal minimum)
Well good on her Mr. G!
she's well chuffed esp since it's a 2 year course and she's done it in 7 months :)

Give it a few months in full time employment then you will hate it.

You have to be a pretty unique person to work in QA. That's all I can say about it really.

You've made me realise how soon it is till college! I've been off for so long now, doesn't feel like its going to end :/.
I too would like to carry on working, but only for the money, i'd prefer to go to college though as it's where my long path of careers start!
well after my holiday in italy i shall be looking for full time work as soon as possible

imagine if you had to stress test a game you hated... lets say you got to bug test the sims 7.
that 8-10 hours a day, 5 , maybe 6 or even 7 days a week playing a game that you might despise. over and over. even if you did like the game to start with, you'll probably hate it after a few months of that...
yes, game QA testers need a particularly vindictive type of person... almost competitive in their bug finding ability :) doing really obscure things that only the most obscure gamer might try. yes you have to be quite inventive

Just remember, its not the end of the world.
It is when you've worked so hard and put so much time and money into it.
The 90% of university undergraduate applicants have about 2 weeks work experience - I have 25 times that amount.

If the proverbial does hit the fan, just do another year, take a year out, or go though clearing (general point, I see your set on Veterinary.)
Nope your average comprehensive :D

when i did my exams i lost a lot of marks in around 7 exams. it was down to my poor handwriting. they couldnt read it quite simply and they can mark you down for this.
if this isnt the case then i hope it works out for you.
my spelling punk tuation and grammer is perfect i am just incredibly lazy and i have terrible handwriting.
though this was the cause for my lorry load of Bs instead of As an A*s
So they should mark you down for it, if your handwriting is that bad then you should of have lessons on it.
