View Full Version : New system
I'm building a new gaming system and my knowledge is limited and was wondering if anyone could please tell me if the following parts would be compatible:
MSI K9N Diamond Socket AM2, AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000 AM2, Corsair Twinx 4GB PC6400, pci-e Sapphire ATi Radeon X1950 XT 512MB,im putting all this in the Antec Nine Hundred Ultimate Gamer case with a 450W Power Supply...
I can't see any issues with what you have specced, personally i would go with intel core2duo, probably better performance for the same price. Also the psu what exactly have you got / getting cheap psu's can be a false economy as cheap psu's tend to be over rated in that the specs are usually for peak power rather than continuous so the psu might struggle and worst case could fail taking out other components when it does. Go for a branded psu like Tagan, Seasonic, OCZ, Enermax to name a few.
yes definately go for a core 2 duo as mac said.
and this is a superb psu http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Power+Supplies/500w+%2B/+OCZ+700W+SLI+Ready+GameXStream+PSU?productId=2458 7
