Hey guys,

Was putting some systems prices together and thought this seemed like a real monster spec with a plethora of bang for buck components.

RRP £599 INC VAT! built and tested by aria.

Just needs the Seagate 500GB swapping for an F3.

Personally i think the case is tonk.

Good value for under £600 though.

i love the case, real portability and great quality feel.

I bet it is, but the looks put me off.

The case is a bit extreme, could put people off. If I was buying a pre build I wouldn't buy that as I hate the looks of the case

coiler

or perhaps an "also purchase" option under the build to choose your own case?

That case looks like an 80's mobile phone! I like it.

Maybe swap it for an Antec 300? Everyone loves that! Or is it strictly m-atx?

Shakyj

And it needs a rear case fan? The second pic shows no fan

I think top extracts are taking over rear extracts now, makes more sense.

I'm undecided on the case. We be great to have a choice of say 3 cases to customise the build

1. Vulcan
2. Antec 300
3. ?

also case fans on top blowhole

It's better to keep it as cool as possible though

I love the tech-ugly styling of that case

you could save money on the PSU by swapping for an arianet one, with that gpu and CPU you wont need one that good and drop it to £549 or upgrade the HDD or the graphics by the saving

coiler

I thought about the PSU, but then people would jump on the fact its the weakest link in the system, could go for an OCZ 500 i suppose.

Haha you hit the nail on the head there :). I don't really like it personally - aesthetically, the features look good for the price - but that's exactly the best way to describe the styling.

Just have a look at the Dell/ HP whatever cases and then compare. Personally, sure enthusiasts expect stuff to look good and so on. But most people only care how fast and the case does look nice (I like the carry handle). Of course it is to individual taste.

Yeah I saw the handle and thought where do I put my brew down

would anyone else be tempted to hand cuff themselves to the thing then walk round in a suit sun glasses and an ear piece in

talk in an american accent, and look lost

uATX motherboard - may as well swap the PSU out for the Corsair HX450 IMO as you can't multi-GPu on the chosen board so 450W would be sufficient for most cards, and have the added attraction of it being Corsair/modular.

first thing i was going to say...

Anyone buying an all in one jobby is new to the PC building thing. they are not going to be running dual cards or overclocking this so it doesnt need a pro PSU. They will be filling the HDD up with downloaded stuff. thats why i say the HDD needs improving BUT something has to be made cheaper for the HDD to be made dearer, the arianet PSU are good, ive used them and for single cards with no overclocking they are perfect.

try not to suggest an improvement without saying what needs to be cheaper to pay for it its a price point machine, it has to stay £599 its give and take.

first thing i was going to say...
Yeah the f3 would be a lot better, but it will have an effect on the price..need to see what else you can downgrade to make the f3 possible and still remain within the budget

coiler
04-08-10, 17:14
The F3 is an option its only slightly more expensive than the Seagate

Right here we go, how about the

Gladiator Titan Volcano 460 Bundle £549.99 INC (simply add your case)

F3 500gb and 500w OCZ, (can't bring myself to go budget on PSU) - couldn't find a 450 corsair only a 400.

One final thought For £44.95 add a Fenrir special edition and we'll overclock to 4ghz!

Can you guarantee 4Ghz stable on every 760? Wow, if so that's an immensely impressive chip.

ZodiarK
04-08-10, 18:24
if they cant they can use it for a say 3.6 oc .. but most of them will hit 4

coiler
04-08-10, 18:49
yeah possibly 3.8 ghz, Az could advise better on this.

So whats the verdict. on spec and price? :)

El Wayneo
04-08-10, 19:00
Yeah its good matey

I have the GTX460 768Mb and it flies.

Terbinator
04-08-10, 21:05
You could be sneaky and use the x22 multiplier on the chips to gain 4Ghz which would use around 181 BCLK rather than 191 - could be easier to reach 4Ghz on more chips.
