Ive currently got:
1 GB 200 MHz OCZ high performance premium module
256 MB 200 MHz Infineon

Currently I have the CPU overclocked to 2 GHz which overclocks the RAM to 223 MHz. Is this likely to damage the RAM?

I can set the BIOS to detect the RAM to be 166 MHz, should i do this? It would make the RAM run at 166 + 23 = 189MHz which is 11 MHz below what it is designed to run at.

That wont damage the ram, your not heavily overclocking. Standard ram that ive got is fine overclocked by a little like yours.

is there any reason why when i overclock the CPU to 2.2 GHz, the RAM speed drops to 184 MHz when with the CPU at 2 GHz the RAM speed is at 223 MHz?

all readings taken from CPU-Z

That will be speedstep i would assume, send us a screenshot. Throttling will happen when your not using your system much, why have air conditioning on when your not hot? that kind of thing.
