Help with new build

I have just bought a ASUS P5K deluxe and am wondering what leads to connect to the mother board into the ATX power connector. My psu has 2, 4pin addapters that fit together to form a 8pin plug, but the MB has a cap over one of the sockets on the board. Will i need to plug both leads in or will 1 suffice?

I have built my last few PCs, but it was quite a long time ago, and i have never encountered this. My cpu is a dual core 6600.

I have a P5k vanilla and i only used one of the 4pin adapters (cpu1), dont have another socket for cpu2 adapter on mobo. I have e6320 proc.

The single 4 pin plug will suffice but as you can make the 8 pin plug then you might as well plug all 8 in. 8)
