I've been having this problem with the replacement card I received from Aria. Maybe its just bad luck or maybe there is a batch of dodgy cards.
The Original card didn't have this problem but had another which caused it to lock up the entire system and just hang. The new card Doesn't have that behavior anymore but it shows something very strange.
I've attached some videos which will illustrate the problem on three different games (no audio, sorry. FPS dip to 30 because of my fraps settings):
Starcraft 2 (best example)

Call of Pripyat
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1q1taeDAUes
Left 4 Dead

Assassin's Creed 2 (using Beta 10.8 Drivers)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vt9cQfEY2VA
Videos will likely increase in quality up to 720p over time but the glitches can be seen already. In L4D, the glitches are very small on the characters faces probably due to increased polygon count but they do happen in large sizes as well during gameplay.
Card running at stock speed (850/975) shows these strange artifacts on the screen. My research has shown that these usually happen due to overclocking but the card is runnin at stock speeds.
Card has been tried on several different motherboards (some PCI-E gen 1, others PCI-e Gen 2) Intel Motherboards and Asus Motherboards, C2Q based boards and Nehalem/Westmere based boards. Three distinct installs of WIndows 7 (two 64bits, one 32bits).
I've tried the same games on the same systems with other graphics cards (GTS 250, 9800GTX and the game plays perfectly with no graphic glitches).
Running Windows 7 x64/x86 with Latest catalyst 10.7 drivers.
I've tried to change all the possible settings in the ATI catalyst control center. I've tried to use the overdrive function to underclock the card to 700Mhz but it shows the exact same problems.
All games have been tried with different resolutions and different monitors.
Card was tested with open chassis and tabletop configuration and never really reaches temperatures over 78 degrees-ish.
The only strange thing is that it only appears to happen with directx games. With opengl games like doom 3 or benchmarks like Furmark there is no problem.
I've tried different driver versions all the way back to 10.3 same problem.
Like i said, the previous card I had didn't show any of these artifacts but had a totally different problem (which i may say, took over 6 weeks to have it replaced with aria after they received it).
Any ideas?
