Hello,

I'm having trouble with some gear I recently got from aria. The problem is the system powers up, and so does the computer (when switched on), but there is absolutely nothing on the screen, nor is there any beeps from the mainboard.

Here are specs:

Biostar 300G Barebone
Intel P4 3.6 (Socket 755)
LiteOn 20x LightScribe (IDE)
500Gb Seagate Barracuda (SATA-2)

With some previously used 2x 512Mb DDR1 Corsair Ram.

I've tried, swapping and, using the following without avail:

250Gb Maxtor Hard Drive (IDE)
512Mb Ram

Any help whatsoever would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Kind regards

[quote:f28f009954=\"PrivatePyle@Work\"]Ummm... Do the older 775 socket Intel's run on DDR1 RAM?[/quote:f28f009954]Yes, I tried sticking 1Gig DDR2 Ram in, but it won't fit. So I presume it only works with DDR1.

Can you borrow a graphics card from a friend you can try to check whether the onboard graphics works?

I can't since it uses the PCI Express 16x, my last computer's graphics card was AGP. Thanks anyways.

I am thinking it could be that the CPU is not supported, but checking on hard review websites that doesn't seem to be the case. It's a pity Bistar's official website is next to useless.

Kind regards

Just an update, I've spoken with Biostar and they recon it's a faulty BIOS, or motherboard defect. I'll be getting an RMA for this today.

Thank you all for your help.
