Not had much chance to play with it as of yet, my bloody car decided to break on me :censored: so I can't go anywhere to play and the garden is basically devoide of subject matter atm.

Watch this space though hopefully something will come along.

100% crop, seems reasonably sharp, this is with my 55-250mm lense. Anyone care to take a guess on the plant the flower is from? No prizes just for fun :D.

Cheers Nick the car should be fixed mid week, the drivers door won't close, the catch mechanism has gone apparently, the parts are on order and should be in monday / tuesday.

Those look a bit like those chinese lantern thingies, sorry for the use of technical terms :o. Nope its not those.

Adding more pics to top post. Once they have uploaded.

Not bad. If the lighting is good, though, try stopping down the aperture for a better DoF ;)

Unfortunately the light was pretty poor, its been overcast here pretty much all day. Think i used F7 / F9 for those. Exif data is intact on all but the 100% crop, if anyone is interested

Ah. Overcast is good for portraiture :D Makes for smoother shadows and no harsh highlights.

some kind of chille? but then its got a real furry stalk so not sure.

the second to last pic is partial! love the detail on the bug

also the colours are very natural, great saturation - while not being overblown in any way. Any PS work done on them?

Only post production was a tiny bit of sharpening to help with the compression when uploading. Colour wise absolutely nothing done to them.

Yes it is a chilli plant, a rocoto chilli to be precise. :D
