Hi All

Building my crosshair today . Just wondering if i should use both cards with my system. Got a his 5870 & a gtx260 126 .

Would it be a good idea to run them both & what difference do you think i could see. cheers

Well you'll not see any performance increase, it'll use the primary card.

You'll have to install nVidia and ATI drivers together which quite frankly is like putting a cat and a mouse in a cage.

Perhaps you could sell the GTX 260 and try and save up for a second HD 5870?

both card need to be the same to crossfire the or SLI them
you would need a very special motherboard to fit an Nvidia and an ATI in the same machine..
and tbh the 260 is a bit dated now

I'm still way out of the loop, but COULD you use an ATI primary and an nvidia for physx processing?

I thought NVida had blocked that at the driver level?

You can use a modification.
But it's pointless.

That or you could buy a motherboard with a Hydra chip installed.

Not really worth it though.

Sell the GTX 260 IMO.

He'd need a crosshair IV extreme.
