Which of these 3 should i get?

I have put the E4300 here as not sure if it's worth paying extra for the E6300, only seems to be a small difference in the clock speed.
For £15 more this is the one to get,
wipes the floor with amd

ok kl, i think i'll just get the E6300.
Does this (https://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/CPUs+%2F+Processors/Intel/Core+2+Duo/+Intel+Core+2+Duo+E6300+Retail?productId=23826) work with this (https://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Motherboards/Socket+775+%28Intel%29/+Asrock+CONROE865PE+Socket+775?productId=26543) as the chipsets on both are different? :?
Personally i would get the 4300 and a better mobo, thats just me though. With a better mobo you could possibly oc the 4300 to 3ghz, which is about the max a 6300 would get to also.
Could you stretch to the 4300 and this

Supposed to be a decent overclocker for the ££
is there not another mobo similar to the one above but DDR1 compatible?
as it is atm i'll have to buy a pci-e gfx card aswell as DDR2 RAM. I'd prefer to buy just one of them lol
Only the 775LGA dual board will do DDR1 too, but thats unlikely, u will almost certainly have 2 upgrade.

how much cooling would this require?

found it and it does both DDR1 and DDR2. Also does PCI-E and AGP.
Probably better that i wait and get:
E4300
Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3
GeForce 7600GS 256MB
Patriot 1GB DDR2

Tis true you might need better cooling, i use one of these Zalman CNPS9500 (http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Fans%2C+Heatsinks%2C+Coolers/Socket+A%2C+478%2C+939%2C+754%2C+940/+Zalman+CNPS9500-LED?productId=23397) as mine was in a media style case with little airflow and hits high 50s on load, but with decent case air flow i would see how far you could get on the stock cooler (upto 60ish c and you should be ok) then think about upgrading.
This is the board to get!
It has DDR400 support and AGP for your existing memory and DDR2 and PCI-e so you can upgrade easily! :) :) :)

well i've decided to get e4300 and cheap mobo for now and then upgrade to better mobo (so can o/c), gfx card and RAM in a few months time.

That's the board i was thinking of gettin until i get a better one :D
Ah thought you were getting this

lol yea i was but then i found the DDR1 and DDR2 board last nite
can anyone recommend a decent (<£30) cooler for the E4300?
This should be ok (http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Fans%2C+Heatsinks%2C+Coolers/?x=12&p_brand=102&p=cF9icmFuZD0zNTUmcF9vcmRlcj1wcmljZV9kZXNjJnBfc3R5 bGU9bGlzdCZwX3Byb2R1Y3RzUGVyUGFnZT0m). Also for the money these (http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Fans%2C+Heatsinks%2C+Coolers/Socket+775/+Arctic+Cooling+Freezer+7+PRO?productId=20729) are supposed to be quite good, never used one though and they are out of stock atm.
ok kl. hopefully should be able to order it all within next week or so :D
does this (https://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Fans%2C+Heatsinks%2C+Coolers/Socket+775/+Arctic+Cooling+Freezer+7+PRO?operation=shoppingCa rtAdd&productId=20729&context=) come with that cooling gel stuff already applied?
which one should i get if it doesnt?
that \"cool gel stuff\" if called thermal paste, it should come with some though. Dont order yet though, wait till someone else confirms
I would imagine it does, but i don't know 100%.
For the sake of £3 you could always buy some of this (http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Fans%2C+Heatsinks%2C+Coolers/Accessories/Arctic+Silver+V+Compound?productId=9573) which, chances are, would be better than the stuff supplied / applied. Don't use too much though (about the equiivalent of 2-3 grains of rice in the center of the cpu is sufficient) and clean off the stuff that is applied, if any, before applying new stuff.
i read some reviews on it and it does come pre-applied with paste, it's supposed to be good so i'll just use the applied one.
Does anyone know if the retail c2d's come pre-applied with paste on them? If they do, would i have to remove this from the CPU before i add the heatsink on?
The C2D's heatsinks come preapplied with thermal past but the cpus themselves do not. So you should be ok to just mount the arctic cooling hsf straight on the cpu.
