I'm just thinking about the graphics card since it will far outshine intel inbuilt but will it actually run anything?

Not really, the ION graphics is the minimum really for onboard graphics.

I don't get what you mean, the ATi card is this would be better than an ION chipset wouldn't it?

I'm pretty sure the ION still beats the HD4200.
