I was wondering what the best card i can get for £360 is?
ive seen on here that i could get a radeon x1900 or a nvidia 7900gtx.
which one is better and would it be worth paying the extra for the 1gb 7950 card?

The reason the ATi's came out on top in those two is because a) Black and White 2 is sponsored by ATi (their brand is shown everytime u load the game)

and b) i bet steam noticed an increased number of ati users - so if you have to optimise for one you go for the biggest majority...

ATi used to be business graphics cards, nvidia has always been for the home desktop and then moved into gaming - so for me i always go nvidia - the packages are small, you get the drivers and an inconspicuous icon by ur clock which is no where near as annoying as the ATi control panels etc. etc.

i agree if you have that much to spend on one graphics card the GX2 is a good choice =) you might even wanna make sure your mobo is sli just for future upgrade ? ;)

Before you spend such a lot of money can you please list your current computer spec's?

Because there isn't much point buying a 7900GTX or whatever.

If its running on a Celeron.

Please also make sure its an PCI-E card you need, not an AGP.

Well in that case, as your board is SLI compatible.

Then later you can always add a second one 8)
