View Full Version : Case with duff PSU

I recently purchased, among other things, an Antec Sonata II case from Aria. This past weekend, when I eventually got around to assembling my new machine, I discovered that the PSU which comes with the case is dead. It refuses to power up the motherboard, and the most I can get from it is a faint crackle when I flick the switch on the back of the unit.

I'd really like to return this for replacement, but it seems somewhat wasteful returning the entire case, as it's pretty enourmous and heavy, and will no doubt incur some pretty hardcore shipping costs. Is there any way that it could be arranged for me to simply take out the PSU and return only that?

Shouldn't be a problem returning just the PSU

It's been a good few years since we insisted on the whole case to be sent back.

That's fantastic news! I was dreading to think how much it was going to cost to ship something that enourmous. :)

I'll PM The Architect and see if I can arrange it. Thanks!

TBH it dosn't need any special treatment.

Just create the RMA in the Normal way via your aria account and indicate in the comments that you will only be sending back the PSU ;)

One of the Guys will Auth the RMA and you will receive an email with your RMA number and shipping instructions.

PSU that comes with cases are normally not very good anyway, it's like an after thought, they just but in cheap ones which isn't good for high spec PCs, but are ok for your basic cerleron CPUS
