I watched it the night it was on. Was a bit tired though. Was it "ar$e " he said then?
It should be if he is British and not American.
Let's be honest, we have very little to be proud of, we may as well be proud of our language.

Just watched it again to check. He says "a$$" not "ar$e".
Will change it anyway. I hate Americanisms too, lol.
edit: done

He really should have pins stuck in his eyes for such blasphemy. OK perhaps a little strong. He should be told off anyway.

I presume you mean Moss.
Better plan, give Douglas Rohypnol, lock him in the room with Moss and tell moss that his "happy place" has been burnt down.
lol

Quite, however there is this forum where we can spread the truth. There is hope yet as these people are young and will hopefully realise how annoying and stupid that looks.

I have no idea who those people are, I regret.

I've just turned 18 and to be honest reading text language burns my eyes out. lol.
I can understand certain abbreviations in specific places for specific reasons but using it all the time for no apparent point really irritates me.
Usually I just ignore it until they send me something legible.
Oh, do not get me wrong, I would certainly not tar all young persons with the same brush. It's just many more do as my generation did not grow up with mobile phones as such and certainly not the ability to text.
Edit: I have a special brush for everyone and and box of feathers too.

Don't worry mate. I understood that the first time. The sad thing is that you could probably say it of the larger proportion of younger people.
And you really would enjoy IT crowd. Its on 40D here: http://www.channel4.com/programmes/the-it-crowd/4od
If you watch it you'd be best off starting with series 1.
The trouble is, any "Comedy" show I have been forced to watch by my ex, I have hated. The likes of Two Pints of Lager, The bloke from Father Ted as a Super Hero, The Big bang Theory, the list goes on but I can't recall. I am pretty fussy.
Ah Father Ted Series 1 was awesome, series 2 was rubbish.

I like big bang theory myself but not the rest. I agree that father ted series 1 was the best. Series 2 was just lame.
I love the IT Crowd, though I've been very disappointed with series 4. Feels so forced, 3 looks like it should have been the last.

Love the sig, love the series, wherever the series goes from now (and the other two eps weren't golden) it's all been worth it for Street Countdown. I met Richard Ayoade about eight or so years ago where he was staying living in London with a mate of a mate, we all dropped in and ordered pizzas while enjoying the "Rich & Jay Show" where the two were bouncing stuff they'd written off us... There was a bit of a haze about and my recollections are therefore a bit fuzzy but I remember it being a pretty funny night.
Anyway,
Gimme one of them sweet sweet consonants y'getme?
