might have the chance of a cheap 8800 gts 640 but not sure if it would be a worthwhile upgrade. what do you guys think i should get up to say £150-180 quid?

Well, the GTX 460 is released tomorrow so your best reading the reviews in the morning and see where you stand. It (GTX 460) may become the new 8800GT and if it does you will get decent performance for your £££ and conversely the over priced 5770, and to an extent 5830 will/should come down in price offering you more options.

Well as you bought the 8800 from me I hope you like it. It should do the job, and as I upgraded to a 5850 I can safely say it was a good step up. But just wait for the price drop before you get one of those.

i did consider just buying a new card just now but i can see some big price drops on the horizon and once i do get a new card the 8800 will be recycled into either son or daughters system
