True, but a contrast would be better. And that bit may not be type.

I spent years trying to stop artsy designers from slapping coloured text on a coloured backrgound that made it unreadable to humans eyes.

And don't get me going on the need to think about colour-blind readers.

Raises a question I have been pondering. And it is a general one that has nothing to do with this particular signature, which now does what it sets out to do.

What is the point of fancy artwork?

Are people trying to prove their skills at graphical design?

Are they attempting to provoke a laugh?

Whatever the purpose, after I have seen one of these once, that's it. Repetition breeds boredom. Ho hum. Seen it.

A link to a changing array would be different. (I have a set of different signatures that I use in email messages.)

An avatar and a graphical signature send out a negative message to me.

But I seem to be alone in this sentiment.

Then again I am an old fart who believes in information over flash.

i just have it because i get bored of seeing line after line of specs so imo a graphical signature brightens it up a bit and make it more pleasing to the eye
