hi guys
i am looking for a temporary psu to use while my OCZ stealthstream 500w psu is on R.M.A ... and i am considering the "Arianet Black 600W "Silent Gaming PSU" ATX Power Supply for AMD and Intel Motherboards 20Pin + 4Pin"( https://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Power+Supplies/Arianet/Arianet+Black+600W+%22Silent+Gaming+PSU%22+ATX+Pow er+Supply+for+AMD+and+Intel+Motherboards+20Pin+%2B +4Pin+?productId=39797 ) however before i purchase it i have a few questions regarding the unit :
1) does this come with a pci-express 6pin connector ?
2) are the cables long enough for bottom mounted psu,s ?
3) will 600w be enough for my components :
pentium D 915 (2.8ghz)
3gb ddr2 ram ( 4 x sticks )
2 x 320gb sata HDD
dvdrw dual layer/lightscribe
XFX GTS250(51mb)
2 x 120mm fans
4) and most importantly is the stock still manufactured by "c.i.t" like in the image ... thats the only reason i have chosen this one ...
thanks for your help
cheers

the price of that vx550w is pretty sickening tbh.. good suggestion mind
personally i would suggest the same kinda action with something like this
https://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Power+Supplies/Xigmatek/Xigmatek+600W+NRP-PC602+80+PLUS+Silent+Power+Supply+?productId=39944
sell the returned psu for like £40 and you will have made a small upgrade too.. the corsairs are great units but overrated imo

Or just buy this (https://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Power+Supplies/OCZ/OCZ+OCZ400SXS-UK+StealthXStream+400W+Silent+ATX2.2+Power+Supply+ ?productId=39205) OCZ for a little extra cost and a much better product and use the 500w when you get it back and sell the 400W on here to return some of the cash.

HLS hit the nail for me. +1!
Why spend more? He really doesn't need a 550w Corsair!
hls is spot on, u shouldn't need more than the 400w's hes listed and its a steal at that price
This is the 4th OCZ RMA i've read about over the last month. I'm going to start recommending them less I think ):
Consider getting a Corsair CX400W; dead stable and Corsair have an awesome RMA service, not that you'll need it. Then, as suggested above, sell your RMA return as new/unboxed.
If you go to OCZ forum, you will find more OCZ PSU RMA... However, OCZ is very generous and you can easily have RMA providing that you do not mind all the inconveniences. Probably one should go for revised version of OCZ PSU, e.g. OCZ StealthXStream V2.

actually i was hoping if someone can answer the original question as it seems the person in question might know that the psu he was looking at might be a hidden bargain..

yeah, his point (4) seems to be the deciding factor that it's probably quite good as a stand in

Yep, how many Corsairs go back for the amount that are sold, I check the forums every few months and still see my old posts on the same front page.
Go ask on JonnyGuru forums how good an OCZ PSU is, and if anyone there runs one, or given one of the two an OCZ or Corsair.
But its only your computer, what it worth to you ?
