My Spec:

Intel C2D E4300 / Gigabyte 965P DS3
BFG 8800GTS OC2 / Geil 2x512mb DDR2PC6400 C4
WD Raptor 37GB x2 / WD Caviar 200GB
Hiper 530W Modular /

Here's the story:

I was playing a game and noticed some graphical glitches, so I quit and turned off my PC. I then turned it back on but then got no display, so I tried on/off a couple more times. Still nothing (also, during this the GPU fan was stuck on it's highest speed). I took out the Graphics Card, put it back in, and still the same problem once I turned it on. I then tried taking out my HDDs and DVD Drive, and the problem was still there. I tested it with another monitor and still the same.

The graphics card I had at this time was the X1950XT (Ebuyer), I sent that back and it was proven there was a fault. I got my refund and then I ordered a BFG 8800GTS OC2 from ****, when that arrived I was still getting the same problem. So I figured it must be something wrong with the PCIExpress slot.

I sent back the motherboard, after two weeks aria tested it and they found no fault, they test it with an E6600, and an ATI and Nvidia graphics card.

I'm confused as to what the problem could be, I am sure that the PSU is sufficient enough to run 1x 8800GTS. I wasn't having any problems with the X1950XT (power wise) until it stopped working.

Could it possibly be the RAM? Or does anything else spring to mind?

Any help would be much appreciated as i've been stuck with this for a few weeks :|

Do you get any beeps or anything as an error code?

Hi mac124, I dont remember getting any beeping sounds or sounds at all when I was booting.

I get my motherboard back on tuesday so MAYBE somehow it's working again, but i'm still trying to find solutions because there is a (high) possibility that it's not going to work.

Hi,

Ok first of all it will not be your memory as your memory wouldnt cause that to happen. If Aria have tested the motherboard and they are saying its fine then i would say its your PSU. Iv noticed you have a Hiper PSU. There hasnt been good reviews on Hipers on this forum. but then again the 8800GTX you bought might also be faulty.

Its just a case of narrowing it down to find which one of the 2 it is.

Have you tried sticking in a diffrent PSU?

Thanks

My mobo speaks the problem to me... Does anyone elses? Anyway, it sounds like the power supply turning on, but not turning the pc on. I had that before with no beeps.
