Hi people, what do you guys think to this TV?^^^

My parents are looking to buy themselves a new TV that doesnt weight 2 tonne and is bigger than 20" :|

If any of you have any recomendations i would really appreciate it. I know kinda what im looking with, but as you know, i like to get a second opinion from you lot :)

So, requirements... 1920x1080(1200), needs a very good response time and viewing angles, non dynamic contrast ratio should be pretty damn good too. Built in freeview is a must, and more than 1 scart would be nice, as would DVI, but not hugely important.

Thanks in advance people

PLASMA! Don't go for an LCD TV, at the very least try and get a LED TV and if you do go plasma, Panasonic all the way. Plasma's have excellent contrast ratios out of the box because each pixel is self illuminating rather than being backlit. Because of this you also get far better black levels as well. To give you an example of response times, my plasma has a response time of 0.002ms. That's like 0.000002 of a second. And you thought 2ms was a good response time, right?

That particular TV also only comes with 2 HDMi sockets. I'd be looking at 3 or even 4. you could have Xbox, blu-Ray, Sky HD and maybe even an amplifier or HTPC, 3 is the minimum IMO. I'd probably recommend This one (http://www.richersounds.com/product/plasma-tv/panasonic/viera-txp50s10/pana-txp50s10) over the LG, although it is more expensive. Also I'd recommend buying from John Lewis if you have one locally or go online. Free 5 year guarantee on all TV's and free delivery too!

The AV Forums (www.avforums.com) is an absolute treasure trove on information including unbiased reviews.

Uh... The LG i mentioned was a plasma? :P Didnt see that. Ideally dont want to go plasma, apparently they have a short life???

As for HDMI inputs, there will be no consoles used on the TV, at the minute im using a sofmodded xbox with XBMC which will eventually be replaced by a HTPC
