well i might aswell do a quick update.
hopefully my card will arrive later today so there will be pics when it does.
i also thought it would be a better idea to go full tower for what i have planned but cant decide between the HAF 932 & HAF X.
as for what i have planned when i have my CPU i will be able to use it so i will do a 3D model of the HAF 932 showing what i have planned.

Got to admit.. as 5770s go that is by far the coolest and best clocking I have had a brief play with. Also really quiet apart from brief (what sou8nds like coil whine) from the fan on occasions. A water block (when EK get it out) will soon sort that not that its particulally annoying :)

and the keywords in that statement is "as much possible" meaning not everything is red and black but i have tried to get as much as possible red and black.

Its half a joke, i wouldn't buy a PSU from a series (Z series) that was only available for a 6 or 7 months before being EOL.

Got to ask why the StealthXstream and ModXstream has been going soo long and the Z series was cut very very short and no-one really carried them either.

it was £119 at a competitor which is why i got that board but if i ever find my self with £300+ i wil get the R3E

i have asked people on overclock.net how they got theirs sponsored and this is the response i got

You don't get sponsored for builds, only mods - and not just a rattle can job either, people are only interested if you are doing some pretty major stuff. They also want to see previous stuff you have done - so if this is your first mod, nobody will sponsor you, especially since your mod isn't really under way yet.

In terms of actually getting sponsorship, just email them.and that is all true.
but if aria does want to sponsor me then it would be welcomed with open arms :D

(this is exactly why my Xbox mod is *STILL* underway... every time I get a chance to do something on it, Mrs. Grapes finds something more important to do... so I've had like 20 mins a week to work on it, which as I'm sure you're aware, means you just about manage to pick up where you left off and get set up, only to have to stop again.)

which means you just have to be creative in finding ways to make your theme work not by spending a fortune, but but doing things by hand and having a little patience and some creativity.

you were saying about something happening causing a delay to the build by a day or 2... my projects have been delayed by months. learn some patience first... not everything is instant in this world, it's a virtue you know.

ok so the first mod i am going to show you in detail is the crysis logo mod on the front of the Reservoir.
the planned reservoir at the moment is the: XSPC Dual 750 Bay Reservoir Pump Rev2 Multi Fascia (subject to change without warning)
so the front normaly looks like this:

but when i am finished with it. it will look something like this (google sketchup decided doesnt want to work nowso i will have to wait till i have my CPU to do all the 3D stuff):

ok so as sketchup is not working i will try and use the numbers to describe what changes will be made
1. will have the same black brushed aluminum finish
2. the flow/level indicator will be replaced with a this circle of red plastic with a black metal mesh.

3. the XSPC logo will stay in the same place
4.the outer circle will be made with chrome
5. the word crysis will not be their
on top of the reservoir will have a 4" Cold Cathodes (more detail on that when i move on to the case)

thats about it for the reservoir. will work on getting sketchup fixed tomorrow and try and complete alot more indepth model of what is going to happen.

1. paint the word "Cooler Master" red
2. paint the slide cover for all the buttons red
3. paint the power, reset and fan LED on/off buttons red with the power symbol painted red.
4. all the indented parts will be painted red

ok so now lets move on to the back of the case.
so not alot going to happen to this as it is out of sight 9/10 times

ok so my update for today
brings bad news one thing i had planed to do on the side panel wont fit where i wanted it to so i have to go back to the drawing board :(
but i will show you what i mean

the red square is where i wanted to put the builds name but the area is too small so i have 2 other places planned
the blue square is one of them and the hardest as i will need to cut out each letter on both the side panel and the red acrylic sheet. it will also block the view to some degree of the inside of the case but on the other hand it is the most visable.
now the yellow square is the most easiest as all i will need to do is cut the letters out the side panel and stick the block of red acrylic on the other side but on the other hand it will be less visable.

any ideas guys

I was thinking more of the "don't go over the top with red" bit but yes :P

I've seen some builds just like yours where people say "I'll paint it black with a little red" but it ends up red with a little black and looks awful.

Very true.

I'd keep it black with possibly a very thin line (5mm) of red down left and right of the front panel and then just have some red/black components inside along with a red cathode and it'll look a lot nicer.

the only thing that annoy me was that everyone kept complaining about the name.

I have just been to Turkey mate and it hit 46 one day, I know how hot egypt can be I was there in march and it was in the 30's then and I have been in june before and the heat is mental, so forget the tripod, buy a huge hat, factor 50 and loads of water because you won't be doing a lot apart from cursing believe me.

most psu fans are connected to the pcb via a fan header, i removed my fan and had it powered off a molex connector.

my enermax wasn't too hard, it had a 3 pin header (but smaller than a case one) so i chopped the connector and soldered it to a new fan's wires. Also the fan was an awkward size (13.5mm) so I bought a 140mm fan and had to drill some new mounting holes in it, took about an hour to do in total.

if so I would change the 80mm first as that's most likely to be making the noise OR just slow it down with a voltage limiter cable just to test

you could strap a 120mm on the outside on the vent (case side) and replace the 80mm with a silent 80mm just to help suck some air through

Get a paint brush, about 1/2" size and quickly brush keyboards, mice and screens down before taking photos. Makes a real difference.
