that close up shot looks fantastic :D
Excellent focus on the T1T (LOL pun intended), and I really like the angle and framing (seriously). :thumb::p
Nice shot there, I really should try and do a bit more bird photography, some birds of prey around here as well.
Thanks Speed, i think i might try for some birds of prey when i get my next lense, we occasionally get a sparrow hawk in the garden but any sign of movement from the house and its off. We get Red Kites not far from here so i think i'll go and try get some pics of those.

awesome shots dude
Hi Mac,
while you are practising manual mode, did you try any lightning storm shots recently? ;)
Do you use the exposure meter thing in the viewfinder as a starting place for your manual shots? This is what I use if I can't run over or be bothered to run over with a light meter!
Don't have a light meter so have to use the internal light meter and the "Sunny 16 rule", and i found this as a guide
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunny_16_rule
and just experiment.

and just experiment.
From my experience that is the best way to learn, as you seem to have a passion for it, then experimenting will be fun.:thumb::D
I like most (if not all) of your shots so far. :)
Cheers Avatar, its certainly been fun so far :D, and the best thing about digital, you can click away to your hearts content and if you only get 1 decent shot from every 10 then it doesn't matter, but at least you know what not to do next time :D

I remember when I used to have an SLR I wasted lots of films in order to experiment (and lots of money to develop it), you're right about digital cameras, you have nothing to lose as you can take as many photos as you like without fear of throwing money away.:thumb::D
Bump for added photo in original post.

Thanks, I hadn't noticed it, I know that I keep repeating this but another great shot.:thumb:
I like the framing and the use of the lens to focus on the front bird, and leaving the back one out of focus, brilliant shot. :clap:clap
Thanks again :D, i only added it this morning ;)
Bump for new pic in op.
Sick of them yet?
;)
Nope! lol
Great last picture as well!

That's true, but the photo's title is babyblueshouting. :D
But we're digressing here (puts serious pompous expression on), LOL

Maybe we should ask Mac, after all he was there taking this photo, that will dispel all doubts (not that I really care tbh). :D
Ball's back in your court.  (yes it is fun).
Yeah I was only yanking your chain.
Great Photo Anyways.

No worry, :D I knew that, but that's me, I'm always game for a nice logical discussion (can't resist it it's my nature).
Yes great shots indeed.
Not really. :)

Took it about half 6 this afternoon, personally i think it was shouting for its mum / dad to bring its tea (once you know what a baby blue tits call is like its quite easy to find them) and there are quite a few around the garden and the neighbours cheeping away waiting for a meal worm to be put in its beak. Hence the glut of baby blue *** photos ;)
Glad you like anyway :D and thats my take on it :thumb:

I've seen them in our garden, but unlike you I never been able to check on their call, I guess it should be faily easy to spot them once you know it. :p
Anyway, we were only kidding about, sorry to hijack your thread.;)
We do like your photos.
Meh i don't mind, i'm suprised it stayed fairly on track for as long as it did tbh, page 2 anything goes is the norm around here :D
And thanks again :)
