Just to clarify my results. It is a Maximus Formula with the Rampage Formula's BIOS installed and HyperThreading is DISABLED!

my P4 651 Cader mill D0 stepping came today, looks brand new (no pin marks and heatspreader is sparkly) so i'll get some preliminary results out tonight, watch this space ;)

I've just got 47.42 @ 4.8GHz, is it worth even posting it? i'll try and get a faster time but i'm on crappy generic 800MHz ram :redface:

Shame about your RAM. Seems to be holding you back majorly. Possibly your OS, too!

doubt the OS is, it's a 100% fresh install of xp 32bit, does installing the mobo/graphics drivers have a positive or negative affect?

I only installed graphics drivers but they're not a must.

Ermm I think it's your RAM holding you back. I checked and you're a full 3 seconds behind one of my scores at the same clock but what cache is on the chip, 2MB?

it's a 651, so yeah I think it's 2mb, would I do better with one stick of ballistix or with a generic stick aswell?

my parents are going away on sunday so I can steal my dad's OCZ gold 800MHz, hopefully they'll overclock better
