Hey all!
It's that time of the year again, exams left right and centre!
I created this thread for all discussion examy, wether it be what you SHOULd be revising for, how your exams went, venting exam pressure or generally discussing life in and around exam time!
I'll start, I've already had 4/7 of my As exams, so far they've been total male cow *** bar one, so hopefully the last three in a week's time will be better

How nice for you. I've had 6 of my 16 exams which are a mix of AS and A2.
I've had 4/12 GCSEs, I think I have done well in all of them, the last one, chemistry, was a bit iffy though

How are all you guys planning on celebrating finishing? Obviously I'm going to grab a few pints with mates, but I also booked a couple of tickets for me and the missus to go see Bill Bailey! Quite looking forward to that.

Nice! I'm not too sure yet about celebration since I need to go see a lecturer about my MSci project for next year :(. I might be going away to Hayling island the weekend though to chill a bit!
I probably also need to sort out the MSci project for next year, but it's not a big deal, my supervisor is really easy going. Should be an interesting project, hopefully!

already had 2 Geology exams (one was a re-sit) one maths exam (mechanics) and one physics exam. Still have a chemistry, biology and the last of my maths exams left to look forward to starting a week tomorrow!
Celebration wise, I've been going to a few pre-mature celerbration parties already (someone had one last friday and there's another on on friday) but I'm probably going to wales straight after my last exam with some mates
Am revising for Lagrangian Mechanics and Quantum Mechanics II for Tuesday - pretty sure it's going to be 3 hours of fail. Getting really stressed about them now. 2nd year Physics at uni is both awesome but completely crap simultaneously.
:/ im only taking two alevels , got three exams coming up soon all A2s though

Now, i'm (after 1 year out and being ill during exams last year) finally doing my 1st year exams at uni. Economics, with modules on Criminology and British Government.
I need to study and stop procrastinating!

ive got AS Unit 2 economics on monday. its with EDEXcel, and its on macroeconomics.
should be simple. just gotta lean about supply-side policies

Had my last exam this morning, in typical fashion I'm bored already. Yet yesterday when I had revision, I found all kinds of interesting things to do.

I had 2 Maths exams, AS. My other subjects are 100% coursework. To be honest I would of prefered exams instead of all this report writing.

Some feckin angles in a triangle in a feckin circle, it was worth 5 marks lol, it sounds a piece of pis5 but most people found it blimmin hard and every1 had diff. answers :P

Had Eng Lang Paper 1 today when I first looked at it, i could see failure flashing towards me, but I wrote tons and no waffling which I'm proud of.
Also did french listening today, and that was blimmin hard which everyone agreed, man they talk so fast...
I did biology Unit 2 today, went okay, didn't totally fail but didn't do great

Just had a2 electronics. Forgot how to subtract in binary though and remembered the second the invigilator asked us to stop writing......

or do you mean on section B? because I did the letter asking for a summer job, as I have just been applying for one and bundled everything from that in there, oh yeah... o yea I got the job :P

i gave my maths books to a friend.
We had to do 2 years of GCSE in a year and i ended up with 4 books O_o. dunno how it happened and tbh, i did buger all compared to everone else however they are useful for others.
My last English Language exam today :D
Then I get rid of all my books :)

Worst exam of all time coming up - Electromagnetism II and Solid State Physics.
Then Special Relativity II tomorrow morning. Can't bloody wait.

Can a math brainiac out there explain something to me? I`ve been doing gcse math only this year, as it is condition for uni. I had my first exam paper monday (non-calculator), but among the questions, were some that hasn`t been included in our curriculum the whole year.
Like functions, exponential functions and a couple others. Of course, I do remember some of the from high school, but it has been long time ago and I couldn`t quite solve them properly on the exam.
Are those questions gonna affect the overall mark of the first paper? Or are not gonna be taken into consideration?

if its on the paper its going to count towards your mark as otherwise they wouldn't be there
I had eng lang paper 2 today - last ever English exam!!! wooooooo!!
It was pretty much an awful paper, but I did my best and it only counts as 30% of the whole thing (AQA exam board btw)
got second one tomorrow :( , then got til the 22nd for final one . sooo cant wait for them to be over to start panicking whether i`ve done well enough or not

I'm hoping for an A* in maths but I dont think I did that well in paper one, couldnt do a couple of questions, so I'm gonna blitz revision for the one tomorrow which is actually my better paper so hopefully I'll make up for my last paper

Thanks! But is not fair. I don`t see why put in the exam paper, something you haven`t been thought during the school year. Those question are something that you are learning about in A levels not GCSE....

I've got 4 exams...all of them A2s
2 chemistry, 1 biology and 1 geography. WIN! :D:o
First ones (Chemistry Unit 4) next Thursday (17th) and the last one (Chemistry Unit 5) is on 26th..
Oh what i would give to do A2 exams again, so easier than bloody uni exams. However the second year is over now (as of a week ago) 2 weeks of holidays and then 5 weeks of fieldwork for me.

Im doing the MESci in Cardiff.
I have been doing it since GCSE and love it. Has its hard moments but its a real good laugh.

hi mate you might think that but i had a question like that, was the last question on the first paper iirc and was worth 12 marks, never recognized the question at all and it was a topic i knew off by heart but it was really well disguised and i prob got feck all for it, ended up missing an A by 1% :( but life goes on, only needed a B in it for uni so didnt matter in the end up :)
