very pic heavy so be warned :thumb:

now it not on such beta (still betas but i little more mature betas) drivers its beating a 285 oc edition card which puts it just under a 5850.

give the drivers another tweak and it could be neck and neck, if nv price this right they will have a winner on their hands.

How the hell can it beat a GTX285?

The GTX470's barely better than a GTX285.

drivers that work the hardware it seems, the new 256 and 257 drivers have the 400s doing alot better across the board.

dont forget the only reviews people put any belief in had the 400s on release drivers vs the 3rd release ati had for the 5000s, now we are starting to see what the 400s are really about.

get ready for ati price cuts :thumb:

We'll see when real reviews come out.
The 465 situation is cloudy, as some say it's a revised 470, as there was reports of the 470 being cancelled.
Some say it's a mid range card which should be on par with the 4890/GTX275/5830.

Dang, that sucks. What a waste at the current asking price of a card. Nvidia, what are you doing man!!! Get it together!

Well, someone MIGHT buy this card, then it will lower the ATI cards by a fiver. ;)

Its a GTX470 with a different BIOS.

Still an exspensive piece of junk.

I wonder if someone will figure out how to make it a GTX470 then?

If I owned Nvidia stock, I'd be selling it.

its the same thing they all do :|

its why im more inclined to believe the findings of other end users over any review site. review sites that really tell the whole truth only get free samples for so long.

its why the finds of the guy on overclock.net and the other on techpowerup are where i lay more trust atm.

tpu more tbh as its a very amd/ati biased site.

Yeah Charlie @ Semi accurate is a fool, all he does is spout crap about Nvidia, hence its only semi-accurate.

He used to work at the enquirer, to clarify the guy is a tool.

:thumb: Agree 100% with that, I never buy something that has just come out baseing the choice on reviews alone. I always wait for real users feedback first which are often more truthful (expecially forums like this one).:D

Well then it will be interesting to see how the GTX465 works out, but I'd still read the review sites and average what they say. I do like personal reviews, BUT, they still can be biased as they bought the item and don't really want to say they made a mistake.

Crap that's true most of the time.
He's good at what he does.

Just read another review today and it seems it's sadly true, the GTX 465 is over priced for it's performance and matches a 5830.

if nvida opened up there cuda source and made literally loads of programs compatible they would just have WIN all over.

and that they have disabled ati nivida combo's its just true win.

really if cuda is there selling point then things need to use it :/

Yes, if they can use cuda. But like MMX CPU's, it wasn't really used. Maybe in the future though, but really only if Cuda becomes DX11 (a standard both companies use).

Well, that's the case for now. ATI had a 6 month lead of Nvidia and that's a long , long time. ATI might even release a new card in 6-12 months and what is Nvidia going to do then??

AMD's new GPU's won't be special because of them not going for a full on new architecture, due to fabrication issues. This delay may allow Nvidia time to sort themselves out, also gives AMD more time to refine there own new architecture. 6 and 2 3rd's at the end of the day.

Let's hope they use GF soon

Then it looks like (right now) the 5xxx series is the one to get.

im with you on that, today the 5850 is the one to get imo on a price/performance ratio.

Well i am glad to see them make a come back as the card i have all apart from Ubuntu performance with compiz it is a super card. Ubuntu is falling apart on me at the moment anyway so i'm jumping ship so it doesn't bother me now.
