My brother saw an advert for the new Samsung 40" 3D LED TV and decided he wanted one, I had to break his little heart telling him a 40" TV wouldn't really fit in his room and even if it did, £1,800 was a little out of his range.

So I offered him this instead:

Usually you would couple this with the nVidia 3D glasses but he doesn't have a PC. He wants to use his PS3 (which recently had a firmware upgrade adding 3D support) and so I need to know what glasses he could use.

Would these work?

YOu need to findout whether or not the PS3 supports, active or passive 3d.

I'm certain it's active shutter.

I can confirm it is indeed active shutter, better known as 3D stereoscopic display technology as used in modern TV's and Nvidia's range of 3D offerings.

And BD-ROM's as well I'm guessing.
