Nice post PP!

The best way i see there being more people visiting the forums, is if Aria advertise it a bit more.

Everyone who has dealt with Aria no doubt still get the daily emails about the specials Aria have on and so fourth.

Why not use this as a way of getting the name around a bit.

Get this place booming with visitors, and in return Aria will get more customers off the forums, as after all this still is Aria's forum

Yeah, I agree with Bels - now that the worst is over as far as Aria goes, the forum needs to be publicised more to get the member turnover a bit higher!

Nice post - I agree completely.

Thinking of novel things to breathe some new life into this 'ere forum, how about doing something that will turn up some hits on google? Can I put forward the idea of some sort of user reviews of electronic bits and pieces? Then people could come here for advice before buying, and maybe stay and be part of the community? This is just a quick thought, and may well change once I've had chance to think through the practicalities.

PP and I were having the exact same discussion on msn earlier!

While it's true I originally arrived here due to my original order taking two weeks to process.... I did enjoy (do enjoy) the banter and helping where I can with technical questions and other general nonsense :)

I have been very busy recently at work though so I haven't been able to visit as much as normal - that said, there's hardly anyone to talk to! Except the ones who are mad because their order has been delayed of course.

On a personal note, I haven't been able to catch up with Lucy about an outstanding RMA, anyone seen her? Or has she and the rest of the gang been scared away by the angry mobs?

No you are a weird interweb loner, we just feel sorry for you :)

_ _ _ _

You know its going down the pan when you view new posts after leaving the forums at 4:30pm yesterday and see none.

Seriously do Aria even care anymore?

Agreed - ironically, we actually gained a couple (I stress only a couple!) of new members from all the issues that went on with the Navision outage. If we can gain members from a c*ck-up on a grand scale like that, then surely we have the potential to expand via more positive means![/quote:827b66b093]
Pity it was under the circumstances but its always good to get new members and now the influx of irate members seems to have died down a bit lets just hope that things can get back to some form of normality with Lucy and Firerat and the other Aria bods joining in on the banter, that all seem to have done a runner but then there are more important things to deal with atm at Aria towers.
[quote:827b66b093=\"PrivatePyle@Work\"]So far Belso has suggested better advertising, and House has suggested reviews, something which Aaron and I also spoke about seperately. These are both good ideas and I will chase them on our behalf with Lucy (if she is still alive!). We could even explore the possibility of people receiving kit from Aria to review on their behalf if they were prepared to go in for that..[/quote:827b66b093]
I do reviewing for another website so if this does happen, and as much as i hate to say it, it is a pretty remote chance imho (but i hope i am proved wrong) so i wouldn't be able to do it as a big chunk of what spare time i have is taken up reviewing elsewhere but i would be more than happy to give some pointers. If Aria doesn't sponser it a review section would still be an excellent idea even if its only to say \"i just got XYZ its fantastic everyone should have one because.....\"
[quote:827b66b093=\"PrivatePyle@Work\"]Another idea I had was to expand the forums a little more with new areas. At the moment there is just one Software thread, but we could split that up between Applications and Gaming. I'm not a console man myself, but perhaps a Console forum would be popular for the Wii, 360 and PS3 crowd.[/quote:827b66b093]
Hmm not sure about a console section but a seperate gaming section would be good.
[quote:827b66b093=\"PrivatePyle@Work\"]Another thought I had was to push the boat out a little on the Off Topic area, and get something going for TV, Film and Music. After all, I bet most of us use our PCs to follow those pursuits at some point or another, so why not talk about it a bit more..![/quote:827b66b093]

Again another excellent idea PP.

I do feel weve been neglected by aria, and its their forum. We work hard to help with quieries for no gain, and arent even thanked by aria for saving their workload. I havent been posting recently due to being busy, and feeling this forum has lost its appeal with the problems incurred from the 'poor' service people claim they get. We can judge, and all seem to agree that there is a lingering problem, and hope its resolving.

the forum is near dead anyway, topics are going on there own, if this happens to all forums, what do we do?

We just need to keep working at it. I feel that weve done so much to keep this forum alive even with the neglect from aria. Maybe we should form our own forum?

Im finding that its not just this forum.

All of the forums accross the net seem to have gone downhill.

I am a member of about 5 car forums and they have been dead this year.

So its not just this one :D
