Hi guys,
I have bought my PC from Gladiators just over three years now and my graphic card died yesterday.
I have ASUS P5K PREMIUM motherboard, 2gb RAM, and card was nVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX. I need new card but I don't want to pay more than £100.

What card would you recomend to do the same job as old one?
I was thinking of GeForce 250 GTS ( £88) but better asking you guys as you know more than me.

Thanks

Best bang for buck is still ATi/AMD

And Aria saves the day once again.

XFX ATI Radeon HD 5750 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Graphics+Cards/ATI+5700+Series/XFX+ATI+Radeon+HD+5750+1024MB+GDDR5+PCI-Express+Graphics+Card+?productId=38260) on offer at £93.99 inc. VAT...with shipping should still be under £100

Thanks guys, I like that last one but in description says
"700MHz Core, 512MB 4600MHz GDDR5 Memory, 720 Stream Processors, 1x HDMI, 1x DisplayPort, 2x DVI, 2yr Warranty"
I gues that 512MB is mistake?

I hope this will be compatible with my motherboard ASUS P5K PREMIUM and the rest of hardware should be ok with it.

:-)

It will 99.9999% likely be fine, the card is more powerful but uses less power so will strain your PSU less. The 512MB will be a mistake, though it is weird that the only 512MB card is also an XFX and is more expensive.

I think it's a typo (or copy and paste error) since the description also mentions a larger RAM. Was going to email Aria with the issue but slow internet access and prospects of lunch distracted me.

That's a good one for a DX11 card, or as suggested a 4870 for an older one. (If you can pick up a used 4890 for 100 that would be awesome)

Just over £100...can't complain with that and that card will see you through for a long time. Good purchase.

You'll love/are loving the HD 5750.

I bought it for a friend when I built his computer and he loves it, they again, he upgraded from a 7 year old Intel GMA.
