Decided that the mATX case i went to was too small for me, so after a while i have managed to upgrade back to an atx case. Been out and got a Silverstone Raven RV02

The bits that have changed:
Well obviously the motherboard! Gone back to my P5Q-E as it was a good board when i used it and seems to work well with the Q6600 :)

I have also changed the ram from 2x1GB OCZ Platinum to 2x2GB G.Skill PC8500 ram, which seems to have sped the system up a bit.

The 4770 has been replaced by a 5770, which i won so was a free upgrade :thumb:

Plans for it now are to add another 5770, and possibly look at proper watercooling, as the H50 i have added is good, but i want better :D

Very nice.

I like that case. You can never go wrong with a Marshall Amp though ;)

I don't usually comment on looks, but i have to say that I like that case, not too flashy/disco yet clean and stylish.:thumb::p

PS: Do I see an LG monitor there? (same as mine).

Nice looking system case, all black, very nice.

Water and electrics... oooo... not a good mix.

had my eye on that case for a while, iirc the bottom of the case is lined with 3 140mm fans isn't it? I have to admit it doesn't look as spacious as I thought it would, it's pretty huge isn't it?

3 180mm fans, they are HUGE! And the case is long more than big because of how it is layout, 643mm deep.

The 180mm fans actually come with a bracket so that over two of them you can install a 360mm radiator.

nice clean build mate :D, only thing is i dont like the way the case has been layed out internally :( with wires having to come out the top of it etc? just looks a bit daft to me

It is done like that on purpose though. Pulls in loads of cold air in the bottom then pushes it up through the case out the top, as hot air rises aswell. Also, you dont get the graphics card dispersing heat onto the cpu, which happens a little in most normal cases

Yup....I like the innovative orientation used in that case, coupled with good cable access for clean cable management.

Do they do a larger version on the case?

Looking at the insides of the case again the fan cables seem to stand out quite a bit, do you think i could benefit from braiding them with black braid stuff? :D
