So i have the PCI-e Abit Airpace Wifi card that is bundled with the Abit IN9 32X MAX
I have just made the move to windows 7 and although im able to use the AR5006EG drivers pre loaded into 7 it fails to load the drivers often... it did this in the RC1 too
so im looking to get a windows 7 ready wifi card that uses the same PCI-e connection
this is the small 2 pronged connection and not the long 3 prong connection
iv had a quick skim through the site to see if anything shows up but it seems that there are inly the long pci cards
can anyone help!

cheers :thumb:

I have this card also and use the AR5006 drivers, NOT the AR5006EG Driver. have you tried those drivers as I haven't had a single problem since my upgrade to 7 when it launched.

i tried the AR5006X and AR5006XS in the RC1 and they both had the same problems
this time round i used the AR5006G and AR5006GS with same results.... problem is ABIT went bust back in 2008 so there will be no updated drives
I have however found an unofficial user modified driver that im testing and will see if that works.....
the Atheros work well but for me they dont load after sleep mode and not always on 1st boot and it a little pain to make a reboot all the time

Didn't know abit went bust, was hoping for a cheap N capable wireless pci-e card and probably would have bought their one if they were going to release one!

The only one i've seen around is a Dlink DWA-556 http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=549

But looking at it, i dont think it would be cheap...

£40 isnt bad at all though a little on the high side
i just hope Dlink don't go bust like Abit
but anyway im gonna hold of this one for a bit since i have more troubles with my mobo and windows 7..... looks like ill be looking for a new motherboard if i cant get a solution
