Good idea that, but given it's a Peugeot it won't be long until that CV boot lets go and covers it in grease.
I always find it strange that those shafts never seems to run true, seem that on loads of 306's

Sounds strange I know, but joints like that never should run perfectly true, otherwise they give the CV joint a big shock load if they straighten up under compression.
