Dunno if it counts as a series, but I spent a really enjoyable time last night watching "Guitar Heroes at the BBC". Some great OGWT shots, as well as the late great Peter Green.
Perfect!

Sounds about right, but it's certainly not boring..
Season 3 probably wasnt it's best, Season 8 is defiantly back to it's best.
Shame it's finishes after this season :(

Cant see how the films gonna work becuase your not gonna get a film 24hrs long.... and to compress it then you just get Die Hard over 1 day.....
Will still be watching it anyway
They did do a 2 hour special before season 7 that worked OK I thought.
It was called 24: Redemption (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0813980/)
I know and some how i missed that.
I was gonna go back to that episode after season 8 has finished.
I watched it after season 7 even though I downloaded them at the same time lol

Watched 24 last night, and will be watching Lost & V tonight :)
I watched WEC 40 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WEC_40) last night if that counts as a series as I'm watching WEC 41 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WEC_41) tonight too.
I've recently been on a Tv series watching kick, so far i've worked my way through 24 (S01 to day 8 on TV), Heroes (S01 - S04), and Dexter (S01 - S04) and i have to say that i'm finding 24 a bit samey, but dexter is Phenomenal! Genuinely can't wait for the next season of that!

Was catching up with Flash Forward, canceled = FAIL
Started catching up with Heroes, canceles = EPIC FAIL
Royally narked at US TV now. Anyone know how likely it is that Flash Forward will be in anyway wrapped up? Same with Heroes???
At least 24 had a end to each season, they should make that a requirement with US TV as half of it never comes back.

Ah yes, Breaking Bad as well, very good television.
Just watched the final 2 episodes of 24 and I'm a little disappointed :(

I've watched The Big Bang Theory, Chuck and 24. I'm now working my way through the rest of my Family Guy DVD's as well.

I liked the show, thought it was pretty good and entertaining plus Agent Kellerman looks a bit like me :) though I did feel it went on a little too long for it's own good but then most shows these days do the same.
I think that heroes series 4 is a 22 episodes the series ratings fell right from the start the network said cost to much so cancelled.

could i start watching universe and still understand the plot? and how does it compare to prior 2?
theelusiveyoda
26-05-10, 11:47
You would'nt get most of the plot as its more like lost etc than stargate sg1 and atlantis, i think they were aiming to get people who like lost and especially women to watch it as apparently women dont watch sg1 or atlantis.
so is it a standalone series though? with no references to atlantis
The last 4 episodes of Lost Season 6 to get through, then the last of Fringe and the Mentalist.

I just remember that one of my housemates was really into the first Stargate series when I was at uni. I watched some episodes with him, junk, tried to get stoned to make it bearable, still junk but now made me angry too. The fact that the only guy who watched it had far and away the least taste in movies or music out of the 8 people in the house spoke volumes to me.
Yeah give universe a go, it is completely different to the older series of Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis for better or worse.
Been watching the 2nd Season of Leverage recently and watched the first episode of Dark Blue which was very good. Unfortunately most of the shows I enjoy watching have come to an end, but Burn Notice is back next week and Rescue Me towards the end of the month.

I'm way behind on Rescue Me, but hopefully I can catch up before the new series airs. There will be one more season after this one and from what I've read the last episode should be on/near the 10th anniversary of 9/11, so 2011.

Don't be, the first series of Prison Break was quite possibly the best first series of any US Tv show in recent years! The others were a bit hit and miss but still very watchable.
