Problem for Everton is that Moyes has done about all you can do in the modern game with his budget. I'm a red, but still put my hat off to the fella. Bit like fat Sam a few years back, he has built a soild and consistent team at the highest level before big money takes over. He has also done it in a far better to watch manner. Sadly I think Everton are stuck where they are until Moyes leaves or another billionaire decides they want a plaything. Think most of your team will be ok as Lescott has shown that other people may not get the same milage from his well nurtured bargains. Would love it if we got Pienaarthough :thumb:

I don't think David will leave he wants to win something here & seems a very loyal person. He's build the team to where it is now so why would he want to do anouter rebuilding job i can't see it.

Your manager looks on shaky ground today it like nobody know's whats going on there but i think he needs to go really. His buys have frankly bin head scratching & all that money he's spent & you could not end up in europe next season.

As for Pienaar i don't think he will move if he see's whats happened to other players who have left us he knows it better to stay put ..

Cheers Nick.

I'm an Everton fan :) I don't think Pienaar will leave, but I do agree that if Moyes had a bit more money, we could be doing things!

Is Pienaar's contract up this summer ? I think he's a very good player, he may stall on another contract until after the WC, if he performs well a lot of clubs will be in for him

No his contract isnt up this summer it has a year left..

But saying that they are 3/4 of the way of agreeing one so hopefully before the world cup & Rodwell should be signing his new one to soon (fingers crossed)

Oh right, for me those are the two that are most likely to leave, both quality. If Everton can keep hold of the current squad and get a bit more luck with injuries next year I can see them doing well. Arteta is a great player and when fit I think Saha's as good as any striker in the prem

Looks like we are secureing all the squad first.

Rodwell, Cahill, Arteta & Baines getting all 5 year contracts followed by Yak, Pienaar & Anichebe after world cup but Yobo looks gone with Sendors in on a freebe..

Saw something on Skysports that Arteta's contract talks had stalled ? probably put about by his agent, trying to get a bit extra

Yeah its funny that m8.

As far as i know hes not even had the offer yet as they are planning to talk during summer so maybe it was his car that stalled lol..

It is the silly season. Anyone who's a top performer at a decent club will get linked with the top clubs. Anyone who is a star at a top club will get linked with Real Madrid, Barca, Inter, Chelsea or City. Every agent plays the game and yet only a few really big transfers happen most years.

Wait till after the World Cup for the real nonsense.
