Google Maps for Andriode - Can cache?

Hey. Just wondering if anyone knows if you can basically save selected areas (like UK for example) of Google Maps. So when I'm using for trying to find somewhere, my signal goes, im pretty screwed.

Plus even with full signal the damn thing is still pretty slow :popcorn:

I don't think its possible to cache googlemaps. Try this (http://www.mapdroyd.com/)instead.

Have you definitely got 3G switched on?

Yeah, and if I'm in dire need of it I turn the GPS stuff on aswell (My Location it think it calls it).
