Anyone got any Idea what I can burn .MDS & .MDF file format with or do I have to mount the files in Alcohol 120% or similar program, Ive tried to make an ISO image with Nero and Magic ISO which both failed miserably, I got an image file but it wont burn, says wrong file format.
Pretty stumped on this one...(scratches head, pulls face of despair)
Cheers Mighty...
Just did a bit of digging - Theres quite a few posts of people having problems with those files.
A few people have suggested trying to mount it with Daemon Tools instead, but the one ive come across the most is people either using WinISO or ISOBuster to convert the MDF file (which I'm assuming is far bigger?) into a .bin file
you can use iso buster to change the file from mds or mdf to bin by opening the image and then right clicking on where it says cd in the left colum and then pick extract to .tao , .bin. i did it and it made a bin file.
i'll keep looking if it doesnt work tho!
Why would anyone make a file in a format no one can use?????

Right, Cracked it...
Bonus point to Bio-d...cheers for the pointer mate
The confusing bit..is if you get a .MDS & a .MDF file included in the data your trying to burn, as the .MDS shows up as a DVD Decryper file, but the .MDF wont, until you convert it with WiNISO, to a standard .ISO file, took me a while to suss it but you just basically ignore the .MDS if its only a 1kb file, covert the .MDF and burn the bugger in DVD Decrypter or what ever takes a standard .ISO (Pictures PP daydreaming out of a window at this point)
So just go for whatever file is the biggest and treat accordingly, or itl moan your trying to use more than the single track.
I can see there maybe exceptions to the rule here, but Id avoid those files like the plague, would be nice to have a fairly standard .ISO format but things never pan out that way Hun-forch!
Cheers Fellas

.MDS & .MDF file formats are made with Alcohol 120%
