Mines a little bit dusty. Not sure if it's from the volcano though. It hasn't been used much recently.

Mine has a nice layer of brown/dark grey very fine dust on it.. Not sure if its volcano dust though. Its fine enough that it works better to wipe the windscreen with dry wipers rather than use the washers!

Same arron, It must be volcano as its not rained for ages. It looks like "dirty rain" but its not.

Im not touching the car untill the weekend, I bet it could scratch the screen if i put my wipers on!

Yep, exactly the same - looks like rain thats fallen thats had fine sand it in it.. I've found its too fine to scratch the screen really, but I only found out by mistake when I knocked the switch

Nothing like that here in Oxfordshire. Plus my local Sainsburys have guys in the car park who do a brilliant job of hand-washing and polishing my Celica for a fiver :)

Never Ceases to Amaze Me the amount of people you see that put a soapy sponge straight on a dry dirty car and then they wonder why their paint has ultra fine circular scratches all over it.

A very good hose down, Wax and polish will take care of those swirl marks.

Amazing how the airlines want to fly in this stuff. Is it really safe to fly or is it just better for airline profits?

I'd still be dubious about flying - you still have to fly through the dust cloud, even though its dropped below the cruising altitude now.. Its quite interesting though, when you look at the reason the planes couldnt fly! As in what would happen to the engines.

Don't think fine powdered Rock and glass silica would do it much good :)
