Hello,

Got my 2nd HD5750 yesterday and put it in this morning.

You should be able to click on the pictures for a better look.

I could tidy it up more, but am going to get a bigger case so will wait for then, its starting to get cramped.

Two reviews there show it taking out a HD5850 & competing with the big boys, HD5870 and GTX295.

I paid £103 for the Vapor X and £80 for the XFX, so £183 is pretty good i think for the performance.

I couldn't afford £230 for a HD5850 in one go so this was the better option, plus it beats a HD5850.

I am aware of the issues with Crossfire, Microstutter, min FPS and Game problems so don't bother going on about it, if i run into some i shall update this.

3D Mark 06 is 17,198 with GPUs at stock.

Thanks for reading.

Nice stuff m8, wouldn't mind an update on how it plays BC2 ;) just to see how it compares to single for higher settings etc.

Tidy build.

BC2 is hugely CPU intensive...I love it :D

Nice cards there :clap

You'll need some good airflow in that case looking at the coolers on the cards. Just wondering does the Vapour-X card downclock to match the XFX cards speed?

I downclocked it.

I haven't had time to OC the XFX yet, the Vapor X will do 860 on the core instead of 710 though.

Yeah i forgot to put it in at first, realised after 2 mins and had to crawl back under my desk.

hahaha, no doubt after you'd put it all together, done the wiring connections, put the case cover on, then crawled out from under the desk only to sit down and see a "spare part" sitting next to the keyboard almost seeming like it's laughing at you  ... i think we've all been there done that !!

I was supposed to wire in one of those fan over run controlers to my rig, so that when i power it off, the fans run on a little to stop the air pooling, and only remembered after i'd done all the cabling Doh! ... it'll end up in my old mans machine now as that gets turned off more than mine .... see, this thread has reminded me to go get it and put it with the other parts, or i'd have forgotten it twice lol

nice update, you'll get more than enough performance for all today's games.

also, you'll have better tessellation than 5870 cos apparently all 5xx0 cards have the same tessellation unit, if you double 2 lower end cards, you will get double tessellation performance compared to a single higherend card.

if you don't believe me, you can do a Heaven 2.0 benchmark with extreme tessellation, i'll do one. im pretty sure yours will be faster

Update since i sold off my S775 setup and went i7 920.

Sold the XFX5750 i had as it didn't OC as well as the vapor x and was noisy.

Need to get a new case and fingers crossed i'm done.

how are you finding the XFX board?

El Wayneo

Its fine mate, short of a few options for OCing and the RAM multiplers are shite, i reckon i can get 4Ghz easy enough though.
