In what way is it messed up?

writing's not clear, blurs into the red, the red around the gun is pixelated

to be honest, i'm not 100% sure of anything on this machine right now, could be a combination of this monitor (ACER P223w) with it's glossy screen and bad settings in the Nvidia Graphics setup....

best way i can describe the image is that it looks like it's been run through M$ Paint and then saved to a lower res format.

I havent got the original right now, it's on my other machine that i havent setup yet... plus, before i was viewing it on my Dell monitor, that is ten times better

i'll leave it for the moment and review it later when i've done the upgrade for this machine, then i'll have 2 different monitors plugged in and will be able to compare
(her a*s still looks good though :P)

There's writing and a gun in your sig somewhere?

I've been staring for a while now, and I'm still not seeing them ;).

Gunslinger, you've got really bad JPEG compression on the image which is why it looks nasty, what program did you use to make it?

Gunslinger
21-04-10, 16:35
I didnt, i stole borrowed it from off the web, and yeah i think that might be the case, i think photbucket has screwed it over, i'll have to find the original and re-uplaod it when i get my machine back up and running

thanks for the confirmation

interesting, i just looked at this using the old mans new pc, hooked up to an Acer 17" LCD and that image is fine... i'm beginning to think something is "off" with the current setup on this old machine, and i'm not overly impressed with the Acer P223w i bought him a while back, i'm not liking this glossy screen

Just looks like a poor quality JPEG to me. When you upload images to PB, it gives you options to adjust any image you upload, i always just choose 1MB file size, everything else resizes the image dimensions. But if your uploading an image smaller than 1MB anyway, it wont adjust the image atall.

Gunslinger
05-05-10, 23:27
yeah, i get that... but what i'm saying is that the same image, on this page looks very different between the 2 pc's and monitors

Looks like it has a shaft or two though. Too far?

Gunslinger

ok. i now have my old mans new pc up and running.... same monitor, but now using an ASUS EAH3870 and DVI connection, and the image looks a hell of a lot better, and even on the old 17" lcd with VGA connection it looks better than it used to on the previous machine, so i'm fairly happy with it, and think most of the problem was my the crappy GPU in the old machine
