Crystal Slimline DVD DivX Player

Hi

I'd like to update the firmware in this as it plays DVDs OK but newer avi's won't play.

The link on Arias's site gives a 404 error...

So, can Aria fix it pls &/or can anyone who has the firware pls PM me and let me have a copy?

Well yes, I know they only sell them, but I think they are OEM versions..

Any ideas who the 'real' maker is?

Had a good look on the net for updates, erm there dont seem to be an awful lot of info on em...is there any other brand name on the under side of the player or any other literature that came with it...that might give us a clue...?

I found that these players can't use QPEL: which alot of xvids use.

May be a related problem.

it should have the latest firmware installed anyway..if you bought it in the last 2yrs..

Like Sean says some files have QPEL/GMC modes on them and seems only way to play them is to re-encode the file using Virtual Dub in 2 pass mode making sure the QPEL/GMC boxes are unticked
