Which is basically Firefox anyway ;)
FF for me, although I have to admit that until the latest patch there was a few bugs in FF that made it pretty much unusable on Vista. Those bugs seem to have been ironed out and I'm back to using it.
IE7 here, tried opera and another one can't remember what it was and hated both of them so went back to IE.
Try to kneecap me if you want :P
IE7 cos when I tried FF half of the pages I went to were ****** and most the layouts were wrong
So come kneecap me  I've lived round here for 34yrs now..

Isnt that what the pages are supposed to look like following html rules, and not what IE's 'interpretation' of it is? ;)
FF for me too...

Firefox has come along a long way since it started. It's compatible with more sites than IE these days :)
Opera >>>> IE7 >>>> Firefox 1.5 >>>> Konqueror >>>> IE6 >>>> Firefox 2.0.
I'm not a fan of Firefox. =/

On top of that Firefrox 2 is about 1,000,000 times better than Firefox 1.5, which can beat IE7 on it's own!
I've never had any issues with standards compliance in IE7, and if I did, I'd switch to Opera, not Firefox.
I guess I hate the way it has almost become a religion these days; I find that annoying.
So is Opera free? Might be worth trying that out. FF has been around for a fair while now, and looks like it's becoming popular...lol

Fair enough dude. Personally, I think its good to see Mozilla producing good quality software which can seriously compete with an enormous heaving corporation like MS and still distribute free of charge. :)[/quote:a5ef763abc]
Technically, Internet Explorer is just as free as Firefox on the Windows platform.
FF with out a shadow of a doubt. None of this activeX crap and the like.

[quote:7da96c56e1=\"PrivatePyle@Work\"]I have recently had several crashes in FF whilst on the Posting screen of the forums.. 1st time I've ever had trouble with FF!! :([/quote:7da96c56e1]
But even when it does when you retsrat it it gives you the option to recover the windows you had open :)

God I love that logo.
A friend of mine is so absorbed in the Firefox religion that he can actually spot \"similarities\" between that logo and the Firefox globe.
This is the same sort of fanatic, fanboyish illness that Mac users suffer under.

IE7 (on XP).
Seems to work fine. Can't be bothered to fiddle around with Firefox at the moment.
It doesn't work with media player 11 :( and i love firefox too. Anyone know where i can get the page loading counter and bandwidth speed checker for firefox?

IE7 is fine for me, not knocking Firefox, but I just can't be bothered to click those three buttons to install it when IE7 works great...
Brand loyalty eh??? lol...

i find with firefox pages wont display correctly, text is too small in places and increasing the size messes with the page, it's probably a css thing as i was told (by a very reliable person) that firefox doesn't support css properly, and was advised to change the code in the webpage i was building.
don't believe me? go to thesims2.ea.com in firefox and the menu bar at the top will overlap the logo, go in IE and it won't.

Its not that Firefox doesn't support CSS properly, its just that all browsers interpret things in their own ways... IE doesn't support CSS properly either, less so Opera, but they all have their quirks.
What you find more often than not, is that websites will tailor for whatever is the most widely used browser, so a website will use quirky code that looks great in IE, but acts strangely in other browsers. Same logic applies to viruses/spyware etc, those creating them design them for whichever platform is the most widely used, in order to get as many people exposed to them as possible, this is why you dont see as many viruses/other malicious code targeted at Firefox, Opera, Macs, Linux etc (though they do exist, and all have security exploits)... its just because there isn't as large a userbase to infect, its not about which has the most security exploits, its which will reach the largest audience.
Kinda diverged from the original point... :D

According to my html validator that page has over 95 errors. The developers are not professional enough to develop the site correctly. They have done it solely to make it look good in IE which is known by most professional developers as the worst browser for rendering web pages correctly. In firefox, if it looks wrong, then its most likely the code is wrong. Opera is infact the best browser in terms of page rendering accuracy, firefox seconly, and IE last.

Test it with all three browsers. You will see what i mean about IE's inabilty to render pages correctly.

well firefox 2 fails that test miserably, dont have/want opera and cant test ie atm as i am using linux. I realise that pages are coded for a specific browser but developers really need to work on standards, computing is such a sloppy proffesion, software developers should look closely at how real engineers do things

The browsers should be compatable with the code, not the code be compatable with the browsers.
I always ensure my pages pass the w3c validator, but even still some browsers show things differently.
