Well I guess Dell home users plug it in and forget about it until it breaks....
Did you clean it up or refuse to work on it and just give it back as it was ?

Left it plugged in and got the hoover on it
(yes I know the pros and cons of hoovering a PC ;))
I was going to say it looks like it was still on when you took the pics from the LAN led.
lol some of them are great :D
reminds me, i aint blasted mine out propper in a while :o
some of them just show how important it is to manage the airflow thru your case, as air will just get sucked thru the drives if it needs to and clog it up with fluff.

Hehe best thing that could possibly happen to a mac, though i wouldn't want someone taking a hammer to me :surprised:
Doesn't dust contain a high percentage of dead skin?
A computer that belongs to a Smoker is nasty to work on.
Another Dell

am I very sad in that I can pretty much name that model  Dimension4700? I had one last week with a dodgy tick of ram :) It didn't look like that though, in fact I was pleasantly surprised with how clean it was.

same case as the one I posted pics of....
Seems to be a theme lol
Yeah like i said, Dell users, lol.
Dare say the air duct that Dell uses over the CPU cooler helps keeping it running in that state.
feel dirty just looking at these

This thread is pure filth.

Hmmm guessing that didn't cool to well??
Nothing quite as bad as those but I've opened up some dirty machines before. As someone else has already said you can always tell a smoker. Not sure how true this is but a colleague told me that back in the late 80's he was called to an office system with a mouse nesting inside !
Now that's some dust build up lol

I'm currently fixing a friends pc that they've had since 2005. I was expecting it to be full of dust. Instead I got a nice surprise. It had no intake or exhaust fan and very little ventilation so there was barely a spec of dust in sight. lol
How do they get so dirty lol
Get a hoover vacuum bag and attach it to the fans :P?
