I have the sapphire version, AGP. I have troubles with the power connector being very sensitive to movement, it hates any kind of knocks. I dunno exactly what to suggest, can i have a picture of this card?/system? As for the monitor, is it just slow to wake anyway? or do you get some kind of vga failed test spoken message? It would appear to be the card to me, not any bios issues.

A generic 600w is terrible and will blow up most pcs sooner or later, get a proper branded one and save the hassle of dangerous parts like that.

Well, the old 600W one might get you up and running properly. At least it will do until you could afford a new one like an Enermax or Hiper etc.

In any case, it would depend upon who the manufacturer is of the 600W, it may work fine.
