Have you tried another screen?
yeah tried my old screen, same problem occurs, im certain that one works
It is likely that there is a problem with the system itself. Whats the spec?
Make sure that the power connectors are all properly seated and see if you get an image up. Might also pay to connect the case speaker and see if you get any bleeps, this will help dianose the problem.
Check that the graphics card is firmly seated in the slot and make sure that the screws on the side of the monitor cable are tight so the cable doesn't wobble in the back of the computer.
did have problems with my system but the aria technical staff replaced my motherboard which they said was faulty, now the system does power up but i get no connection at all, i was advised by the technical staff that all the parts are compatible also

Does your case have a speaker? If so make sure it is plugged into the motherboard.
When it is, listen for bleeps after you power on. A single bleep means the system has booted ok, different combinations of bleeps will help you find the problem.
yeah but i cant seem to hear any beeps when i power it on, the graphics card fan is quite loud though

Reverse the connector, see if you get any bleeps then. Make sure its in the right place, you may have to consult your motherboard manual for this.
