Ive never had any problems with them, but I guarantee someone will advise you away from a Maxtor drive. Infact, since trying WD and seagate drives, I'd probably go for them over maxtor. Not cos of reliability, but for noise - or lack of it!! :D
Also, you seem to be lacking a motherboard. Do you have one already, or are you going to buy one?
And welcome to the forum :D
Indeed, you need a motherboard sir, also, get yourself a Western Digital drive instead, they make much better hard drives :) Everything else looks great.
Welcome to the forums :D
Sounds like you hava a great budget for this pc :D
Striker extreme mobo maybe in order
That looks similar to what I've ordered, except I think your RAM is a bit better and you've got the GTX, not the GTS.
Looks good, just get a motherboard :P
plus it's a cool case
just take your time with cable management and also note that the psu mounts at the bottom of the case so if your power connector on motherboard is at the top you will need a longish power lead or an extender
oops was bit tired from work yesterday.. Thx for replies folks.
Yea i sorta forgot to list the Mobo..
Asus Striker Extreme 775 was my choice on first glance 200 notes is high but figure upgrading is easier in long run on gd mobo.
WD 150 gb Raptor seems nice enuff i give you that and i have recycled several WD hard drives in systems upto now so be first purchase of new HD in quite a while.
Intention is to get it upto 4gb ram .. Vista and sli 8800s but thats little steep for budget so ill add on the other bits after.
Case and psu is odd one though i must admit.I have in past always gotten psu and case as combo i see this has changed alot.Guess the overclocking and variations in power consumption caused this.Ill stick with case and psu tho and hurdle the cabling issue if it appears.
Motherboard : http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Motherboards/Socket+775+%28Intel%29/+EVGA+122-CK-NF68+NF680i+SLi?productId=25506
Case the antec 900 looks great but read in some reviews it can be a bit cramped inside.
If you do want to go sli i think you might need a bigger power supply
I have a raptor its got my OS and games installed on it :)
i have 2 maxtors for storage
