HI there

What is this, how does it work? I am interested and thanks m8. :)

basically, you get 2 months worth of subscription to LoveFilm, the online dvd rental thingy. The standard trial if you go straight to the site is only 2weeks, so getting one of these cards from an existing member gives you a nice bonus. I've been reluctant in the past to give them away, simply as I can't see that I actually get anything for helping increase the customer base. Sounds selfish, because I am :D

I think the card gives you two months of the 3discs at home, unlimited amounts (subject to the postie).

DT if you introduce someone who takes up a subscription you both get 1 month free.
I imagine these 2 month freebies are for you to pass on to friends and family.

Col

So at the end of this free period, are you automatically put on to a monthly plan then? The PAYG option would be more suitable for me, but I'd like the 2 months free, seeing as I have never used them before and would like to try them and 2 weeks isn't all that great when the post is involved.

Ive just had a code though for a lovefilm PAYG. It will give you 2 free credits when you sign up, Would you like that one?:)

I have a LoveFilm code as well if anyone would like it.. Its only for a 1month free trial though - can't match Mat's offer!

Offered to similar members as Mat was doing.. Must be active and contributing member of the forum. None of this post for the offer and then leave again stuff!  :)

Col

Well I'm going to be going for PAYG at the end of the free part anyway. Aaron, does your free month offer cover PAYG or do I have to go for one of the monthly plans?

1 month free would probably be better than two extra credits. How much is one credit though? If I order a "3 disc collectors edition" for example, 2 credits means i can do that twice, correct? Or does it mean that I'd get two discs from the set free and have to pay for the third?

M4T VW
31-03-10, 19:41
Not too sure, But i dont think they have such things as " 3 disk collector editions", It would be 3 movies so 3 credits.

It depends on how much time you have, I am on PAYG so i buy 20 credits to last 6 months, I just about use that as i dont always get time to watch the movie the same week it arrives.
If your going to watch a movie straight away and send it back, PAYG might not be for you.

I only go for the big movies, No point in renting a stupid chick flick or a teen movie, I have better things to do then waste an hour on them.

Col
31-03-10, 19:58
I have plenty of time at the moment while I'm job hunting, which is why I like the idea of the 1-month free trial where I can order a film, watch it when it arrives, then send it back straight afterwards and get through as many as possible before I get a job! After the trial I'd probably still go for PAYG though, and just slow down my viewings.

multi disc titles come as seperate rents, you are getting "disc" rental, not box-rental - if that makes sense.

I've had a disc rental refunded to me as I got a bonus disc to a movie I didn't even know had a bonus disc, I was rather miffed. They've changed the way multi-disc sets are dealt with now.

Anyone know offhand what the situation is regarding these 2 month offers?
If you're an existing customer can you cancel and go straight back onto an offer? (unlikely I know):o

Aaron
01-04-10, 01:14
I can't remember which, but its either to do with the address you use, or the card which is billed.. They can't be used twice. However, if you moved and/or got a new card, you could probably do another free trial :)
