I have Firefox 3.6 installed, i have a problem that when any updates appear firefox installs them and then fails to start. Its getting on my nerves has this happened to anyone else and if it cant be stopped is google chrome any good.
Not come across the issues with firefox, but use Chrome ALL the time and have no issues what so ever with it.
Do you mean updates for your addons?

3.6 is right buggy, I reverted back to the older version until its sorted out.

All I've noticed so far is that it seems to have problems animating your avatar.
I only just upgraded however.

The only problem I have had turned out to be a corrupted install; I downloaded a fresh install package and everything was fine.
Might be worth downloading it fresh and trying again.
Never seen any of these issues. 3.6.2 is working very well for me and my 8 addons, although I still get 92/100 on Acid3. For those with issues, might be worth backing your profile/addons/bookmarks with MozBackup, reinstalling Firefox and reinstating your settings.
Yeah I have FF 3.6.2 and it works fine, no issues. Guess they sorted some of them out with the .2 changes.
You could try uninstalling and resinstalling the latest version downloaded from their site.

I may jump on the 3.6 wagon again if its ok.

I've had a FF update and your avatar's back to normal Andy.:)
Mine crashes quite a lot - but I do share the profile between XP, Windows 7 and Puppy Linux.
My 3.6 install will crash sometimes, however I put that down to me not having much memory in my PC.

Ditto, and apart from that, I never had any problems before the update.
It is a known problem
Try deleting COMPATIBILITY.INI from the default profile and it will work once (the file gets recreated so just delete it again).
