Diablo III?

Has anyone else seem the rumours going around for Diablo III? I hope they're true!!!

I guess we'll fine out at the next E3 :)

No, they made it smaller, (unless that was GDC), but I'm pretty sure it was E3. They said it got too big and comercial, advertising and \"booth babes\" and what not. Seeing as Blizzard are doing Starcraft 2, I doubt they'll be doing Diablo 3, yet. Anyway, Diablo 3 would have been MUCH cooler, there aren't enough decent single-pleyer RPGs out, especially modern day ones.

Why don't they make a game just like Oblivion, Deus Ex, Arcanum, Diablo or whatever, but set in the current day. I guess there'd be nothing to do. Stalker was pretty close, but it lacked all of the character creation and development. That's the game I'll be waiting for the rest of my life, and by the time they make it, we'll be in the future with laser cannons anyway!!!

It's called Game2 because they havnt officially named it, but the things I've heard about it are amazing.

BIS made Operation Flashpoint and the new Armed assault encase you're wondering.

erm.. isnt CS:Source technically counter strike 2?

Being that CS was based on the Half-Life 1 engine
and CS:Source is based on the Half-Life 2 engine

And, as there is no actual story line, how can you really make a \"sequal\"? New maps and new graphics purely mean a new version... when a new half-life engine is made, an updated version of CS will be made, but it won't be anything new, just look nicer...

In response to \"shavenlunatic\", I was just speculating, however, they brought out condition Zero didn't they? that had singleplayer and a story (ish). Counter-Strike source is not Counter-Strike 2, because it's called Counter-Strike Source! When Half-life 3 comes out or whatever, with source engine two or whatever, i'm sure they will do another counterstrike, and they might even do something new for it, while keeping the classic online play, they might enhance the single player experience, which I think they should.

Oh yeah Spore looks awesome, but when the hell does it end? Haven't heard of \"Game2\". Oh yeah, GTA IV, oh my God!

My buddy has been harping on about Pirates of the Burning Sea for a while. Looks good in principle - there aren't enough Pirate/Sailing RPGs out there...

Ever seen the Mad Max films? The Fallout series is basically post-apocalyptic sci-fi RPG, the originals had a top-down turn based perspective similar to games like the Baldurs Gate series. Fallout 3 will quite likely be a post-apocalyptic sci-fi version of Oblivion. Its a very adult violent world, the kind of game were you could truly go down the path of the evil & depraved. A lot of people are concerned that Bethesda will \"dumb-down\" the evil side.

If you haven't played Fallout, I seriousley recomend you play Fallout 2, (if you can!). If you've played Arcanum, it's very similar, but obviously in the future instead of the past. You can do ANYTHING you want in it, I seem to remember you can protect (or kill, can't remember) the president or something! You can gamble, sleep with women, and obviously the weapons/perks/RPG side of it is one of the best ever! And it's really really funny in parts...

It has an Isometric viewpoint. I think Bethesda may well dumb down Fallout 3, just like every game these days! However, it will look AWESOME!!!

So yeah, Fallout 2 - PLAY IT, It's AWESOME!!!

Yes indeed.I am playing it since 2004 and, despite its well-known bugs (even with the patch) it is one of the best games I have ever played.I have heard that Bethesda will still use the SPECIAL system on Fallout 3, but will be less skills available and the max level will be 20 something which I do not like.
