cant seem to track down some silly parts ?

anyone know anywhere i can track down replacement hinge covers for a fujitsu amila li1818.

i have have the laptop for a few years now, gave it a loan to a friend, got it back last night, new it needs a new keyboard, battery, back cover and damb hinge covers.

as u can guess im pretty ****ed about the condition it came back in.

i have the other parts ordered but cant find the hinge covers for the plastic.

also anyone recomend where to buy laptop screws, there are a few of them missing 2

The only thing I can think is see if you can pick up a dead one off the bay and use it for parts, or try an online notebook repair (hint) shop who may sell a part of a case like the rear of the screen or something that comes with the hinge covers on there.

Eb4y is your best bet I would think. Most part sights slap on a premium. If you can find a broken li1818 it's usually cheaper than buying the parts.

Is the hinge cover part of the power button cover plate? Maybe this one includes them but you'd have to ask. Would also solve your missing screws.

thanks, cant seem to find em, the one on eb4y dosent come with em.

ah well guess ill need to try make one or something. I havent a clue what happened to the laptop. Its in some mess, i asked and all i got was shrugged sholders.

Told him he was paying for the repairs and damage and he laffed and said with what money, so as u can guess i wont be talking to him again.

i lend him a laptop and this is what i get
